He was born in 1941 in Çorum. He studied in İstanbul State University of Fine Arts between 1960 and 1967. He worked in Haliil Dikmen’s and Zeki Faik İzer’s studios. In 1971, with state scholarship he went to Paris and studied in Vincence University Arts Plastique and worked with Singier in Beaux Arts. Starting from 1974 he opened about 45 personal exhibitions which 15 of them in Turkey and 9of them were in Paris. His works of art are exhibited in Museum of Lozan Canton, Museum of Graphic Arts in Kopenhag, Museum of Modern Arts in Paris and Istanbul Modern. Komet’s figures which take place in fantastic and/or imaginary world create the impression of the symbols of individuals and human facts that reflected to our day. He uses the paint with a typical method of his own emphasizing the arcaic and antiquity image. The fantasy and reality, delusion and life experience take place interbedded with each other. Artist lives both in Istanbul and in Paris.
